Cheep and Cheerful
The hotel was a little dated and the rooms were very basic, but then you get what you pay for, and as we didn't pay that much.
We thought that what we got was really good value. The staff, bar man/receptionist, owner and waiting staff were very friendly and helpful and the the prices at the bar were fantastic. The breakfast was satisfactory and just what you needed to set you up for the day. The walk along the prom to the town center was very refreshing considering this was February. If you are expecting the Ritz then best not to book this hotel but if you want somewhere cheep and cheerful for a relaxing weekend then we would definitely recommend this hotel and no doubt we will be returning sometime in the future.
Considering this only class as a 2* this hotel is very friendly and clean.
Could do with some rooms having a little make over. would stay here again
Great location, any closer to the sea and your feet would be wet.................
would go again
Loved room 3.
Balcony sea view. Good sized single. Some small room for improvement with room cleaning but friendly helpful manager. Good breakfast and waiting staff. For the money can't go wrong. Only real problem didn't want to leave balcony to go sightseeing. Look forward to return visit.
Easy to find and park, no-one was in reception for at least five minutes but when someone arrived we were dealtwith quickly and efficiently.
The room was a good size, drawers etc were plentiful, even if the furniture might have benefitted from a rub down. Mattress on bed had springs very near the surface and was not cmfortable, otherwise all was clean and cooled by the open window. Breakfast was a little slow service but once into the system service was quick. We did not have the evening meal but it looked good value. Most staff were very friendly and helpful
Hotel by the beach
Nice location, right opposite Preston Sands, private parking as well.
Lounge and restaurant had lovely sea views, breakfast was good. Rooms a little dated, but ours was on the ground floor, therefore no view, but comfortable enough. Tea/coffee facilities fine, but no free biscuits, there were some in a basket in the room but you had to pay 50p for them. However, very good value B&B price, roughly £69 per room per night in September, so you really can't complain!!
