Orchard Manor
The room was chilly and the heating was not on. Big problem when spending a wet September weekend in Cornwall and evidence of a "penny pinching" approach. because it was impossible to leave clothes on a radiator to dry. Even the "heated towel rail" was UN-heated. This was extremely disappointing especially considering that the price I paid was very much at the top end.
Apart from that the room and the hospitality were both great

Nice Staff - but a bit steep
Probus is fine if you have a car - if not it's a bit far out. The B&B was clean staff very friendly. Old School flowery style covers etc but it was clean and tidy. Shower was good too. I'm not in Cornwall too much but I would say £85 a night was a bit dear - esp since breakfast was not included and was another £7 if you wanted it. This would be a good base for familys and couples to explore Cornwall - I think a price of £60 per night would be more around what could be considered value for money.

Friendly and Met Basic Needs
As a last minute booking, it was good. It is a bit out of the way and needed a taxi into Truro for about £12 to get to food and shops. Staff was friendly and room was clean - so was fine for a business trip.

The Orchard great value.
The Orchard Hotel offers a fantastic and warm welcome with excellent facilities. Nigel, owner, is a fanatstic character who really goes to the max to ensure you really feel at home. The rooms are well equipped and facilitate a comfortable stay.
Located in the village of Probus it is well suited for easy access to Truro and the surrounding attractions - if you need any advice on where to eat, to go or how to get there Nigel is pleased to help.
For business or pleasure I would definitely have no problem in reccomending the Orchard.
