The room was okay and the staff friendly.
The only problem incounted was the smell of the room. It smelt like dried wee and we had to have the window constantly open to try and air it out. Which left the room incredibly cold
Shopping trip to Brighton
The Gather Inn was sufficient for a bed for the night but I would not stay again.
I took my daughter for her 16th and couldn't find any where else to stay as it was bank holiday. It's a pub with rooms.
Good accommodation, despite initial looks.
Friendly service, good breakfast but surprised how quiet the bar was for a Saturday night.
Good value, just check which type of room
Breakfast good, heating good, but we reserved a double with en suite and got a twin with a separate bathroom so not that good, it did take away from our stay.
There are quite a few party groups who use it so I was woken up quite a bit.
Lovely weekend away
I originally picked this because it was the closest hotel/guest house to an event my mum and I were attending but we were very pleasantly surprised by this venue.
The rooms are perhaps a little small but clean and cosy while the food in the restaurant - especially the Seafood Board. - is absolutely scrummy. Breakfast (included with the room) is either toast and cereal and/or a cooked breakfast of bacon, sausage, beans and a fried egg - all very nice. I would definitely recommend the Gather Inn and I will definitely be staying there on my next visit to the Brighton/Hove area!
Room was basic and bitterly cold, shared facilities and no food available
We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff , the room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable, the food we had was lovely, all the staff was welcoming and helpful and we would definitely stay again
The Gather Inn
A little bit creaky, but didn't bother me.
new carpet in the room made it difficult to open and close the door. Didn't like the sausage with the breakfast. Those are the only things I could find wrong, would I stay again. Most definitely, wish we had another couple of nights to actually enjoy the bar area it's warm and friendly, the owners and staff are the same just wish we had more time to enjoy it.
Excellent place to stay!
We stayed here a year ago and loved it.
It's a perfect distance from Brighton night life only costs £10 in cab to get to the pier. Parking is right outside and in streets nearby and the room and service is brilliant. Everything we needed for such a good price. If we go back to Brighton we will definitely be staying here again. breakfast is a little early for us after a night out haha but we did get up for it one day and it was lovely!
ok for one night
It's on the main road west out of Brighton, quite loud traffic and we wanted the window open since it was a warmish night.
Room was described as twin bed with ensuite, but actually the bathroom was across a corridor, where there was a reasonable throughfare. Lateroom website said no breakfast on Sunday: we actually stayed from Sunday night to Monday morning, but apparently it meant no breakfast on the Monday if you arrive on Sunday. Beds fine for comfort. Minimalist customer service.
