Cosy and clean
The rooms aren't huge but this is London for those on a slight budget.
Staff were very welcoming, room was clean. A little stuffy as the rooms aren't huge so opening the window was a must. Very well located, some great eating places in the local area, particularly the Prince Edward and the 65 & Crown.
Very good customer service, shockingly small room
When I arrived I refused to stay in the room that was allocated due to how small it was but the staff were very good and let me change rooms.
Overall the staff are very good and helpful
The rooms are so tiny I can not believe they are allowed to be called hotel rooms. When I arrived the lift was not working which was a problem as the poor porters had to carry bags up many flights of stairs. I had this room booked this week for 3 nights and I am stating in London for the next six weeks but I have cancelled my room and will not be using this hotel or laterooms again. There really should be something on the site about the rooms being so small. This is in no way a reflection on any of the staff who were very professional.
Great room & friendly staff & good location
Very small, but good price for the area
Overall decent stay, however they dont accept Visa...which blew my mind, even I accept Visa and Im not a hotel chain in the middle of London.
So beware, you might have to pay cash.
Nice hotel, good location - smelly room
Hotel is in a great location, free overnight parking outside, quiet street.
I had tiny room on third floor on the stairs. For the price I was happy, clean sheets and clean bathroom. Window had been propped open so room was freezing but despite lots of fresh air the room stank of BO - much worse when window was shut. As I said, sheets were clean other soft furnishings (pillows, scatter cushions etc) needed replacement, therefore I place onus on hotel management rather than cleaning staff.
Horrible Dingy Hotel - Dismissive and Poor Customer Service - 2 Star at best
Upon arrival we found ourselves directed to a hotel in the basement of the hotel.
It was situated right next to a boiler system or generator which created a fair amount of noise. The room was also tiny. Thank goodness we were only there for one night. It does make me wonder if rooms which are discounted and sold on laterooms tend to be less desirable rooms.
Also, my partner left her hat in the room. She called the Monday after our stay and was pleased to be advised that housekeeping had indeed found the hat. We were informed that the hat would be posted to us but we'd need to pay for the postage, which is fair enough.
My partner thought she'd sent an email providing the postal address but the email failed. She only realized on the 2nd March, two weeks after our stay, that the email hadn't gone and called the hotel to advise why no email had been sent.
However, she was met with a rather unpleasant and abrupt woman who it seemed should not be allowed within a mile of a reception desk, let alone any customer service based industry. Upon being asked if the hat was still being held she was advised by the unnamed receptionist that no hat was found or handed in by housekeeping and no receptionist advised that a hat from the room we'd stayed in was found.
She asked who we'd spoken to and my partner told her that they refuse to give a name when asked. Presumably this is so they can not be held accountable and simply deny anything. She then said that she'd spoken to every person possible that works in the hotel that would have come into contact with the hat and received an unequivocal 'no' to the question of whether they'd been handed or found the hat. Quite a feat considering that most hotels and by extension their staff employ a shift system. To top this when my partner provided her with the email address she'd been told to notify of the forwarding address the woman continued to dismiss her claim that she'd been told the hat had been found in the hotel room, where it had been left. She then hung up on her.
The true test of a good hotel is in how it deals with its customer, particularly their aftersales service and this hotel was revealed, warts and all, in their handling of this customer request.
I would STRONGLY advise against booking into this hotel as they employ an incredibly short sighted attitude in how they treat their customers and I dare say this is reflected in the amount of repeat business they enjoy.
Whilst the hat can be replaced it's a shame that some of the staff can't be too. It's clear that whilst boasting a four star rating the real rating is closer to two.
Few issues with the room apart from that a great place location
Me and my girlfriend stayed for 2 nights over the valentines weekend, easy to find.
Only problems were
Tv didn't work to begin with
Shower door resulted in cut foot, which didn't work until they slightly fixed it
Room was small but ok for 2 nights

Arrival Firstly the Hotel was very easy to find, well within walking distance from the tube (Bayswater).
Upon arrival door staff were friendly and polite. Check in was quick and easy, During the check in process we were advised that we had been upgraded to a club room. The Room
The room was a very good size and larger than expected. The bed was very comfortable and had a good range of pillows. The aircon in the room was very good and easy to use. En-suite bathroom was very clean and well presented, also had adjustable underfloor heating. The shower had very good pressure and heat. It also had 2 options of shower head. In room facilities were good, however the signal on the TV was very poor for most channels - fortunately we didn't go to the Hotel to watch TV. Overall a very good stay. Slightly disappointed with the noise from doors banging etc. Would have been nice to have had complimentary bath robes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would consider staying again!
wasnt working, was fixed one day later. The bathtub and heater in the bathroom didnt work. The heater in the bedroom wasnt working properly. We spent two nights during winter, snowing outside without the possibility to change the temperture inside the room.
Room very dark, dark wood furniture didn't help.
Tv channels not quite properly tuned in. Clean modern bathroom. Very small hard bed.
