We stayed at The White Hart for a short break.
The hotel was extremely comfortable and the staff absolutely delightful. The room was spacious and well equipped and the bed very very comfortable. The food was delicious but a little too expensive for us to eat there every day. We were lucky to get a parking space close by each time, but there is a big public car park only 10 minutes walk away if there is no on-street parking available. The hotel is decorated and furnished in an elegantly understated way which feels comfortable and friendly. We had a lovely time and would recommend The White Hart to other travellers.
When we drove up to The White Hart we were disappointed about the lack of parking, but this soon evaporated as we were provided with a permit.
The staff were very pleasant and couldn't do enough to help. The food was excellent but a little pricey. The room was nice and light and airy and overlooked the river. I can't wait to stay there again. N. Manchester.
HOTEL WAS IN A LOVELY SPOT OVERLOOKING THE RIVER SEVERN, VERY CLEAN AND WELCOMING.
BIGGEST PROBLEM WAS CAR PARKING AS HOTEL DOESN'T HAVE A CAR PARK. PARKING ON THE STREET IS ALLOWED, BUT FOR ONLY 2 HOURS BETWEEN 8AM AND 6PM. HOWEVER, THE HOTEL STAFF SAID THAT THEY WERE NEVER AWARE OF ANY GUESTS BEING TICKETED, EVEN THOUGH THEY LEFT THEIR CARS WELL INTO THESE PERIODS. VERY POPULAR SPOT THOUGH SO PLACES AT A PREMIUM.
I knew the area already so was glad to get in the White Hart.
My sister said Alex used to run the Malthouse which has been dramatically refurbished… The White Hart is really nice and I only regret not eating. Breakfast made up for it though, excellent start to the day. I'll stay again am sure.
Was lucky to be able to get a parking spot on the road just in front of the hotel.
On being greeted at reception (bar) all formalities explained and we were shown to our room by a very genial young lady. Rooms are rather quirky here and this did not disappoint. We ate in on the first night and what we had was extremely good in quality and portion size. Wine selection and quality also very good. On the second night the wife fancied fish and hips from the local chippy by the bridge and I can confirm this was very good. All in all a smashing weekend and I would certainly recommend staying here, as we shall again with there being so much to see and do in the area.
Quiet and comfortable but right by the Iron Bridge and within walking distance of excellent museums.
Friendly but unobtrusive service. Good, no frills value.
The only drawback is the lack of parking - the free park-and-ride only operates at summer weekends. Great location for a walking holiday.
A Trip With The Mrs to Memory Lane
An enjoyable night-over with excellent breakfast.
Food a bit pricey
The stay was very enjoyable and the food was exceptionally good.
The only drawback was the anxiety about parking.
Lovely little hotel in a nice location, room was satisfactory, bathroom needed a little TLC, bar area very nice, and court yard nice on a summers day.
We had a lovely meal in the restaurant/bar area, and enjoyed the quiz night (Thursdays).
Good clean rooms Staff friendly
Sadly no parking at the pub on street was a gamble
