Basic Room but a bit stale, breakfast was not good
This was a really cheap last minute deal which was the positive. The room was very basic and felt like it had not been used in some while. The shower was mouldy on the handle and there was dust and hairs on the cups and trays for drinking. However, the bed was comfortable and we had what we needed. The breakfast was terrible. The bacon was hard and must have been cooked hours before, as was everything else-just warmed up. The egg was fresh. The bread out to cook own toast was totally stale. We did complain and only paid for 1 out of 2 breakfast.

Nice price shame about the room
This is the third or fourth time we've booked via Laterooms and stayed at the Quality Hotel, Coventry in the past 18 months. Each time in the "Preferences" box on the booking we put the same thing; "a quiet room please". And although having never had exactly the same room twice they have generally been 'quiet rooms'. However, this time we were allocated Room 03 - at the front of the hotel closes to the dual-carriageway and right over the entrance porch to the hotel - which we now know is where quests come to have a cigarette and chat at all times of night - well up to at least 3pm by our reckoning. This is added to a poor nights sleep which we communicated to the receptionist at check-out. From her perspective she said they don't see the "Preferences box" on their copy of the Laterooms booking, so I had to show her my copy to check the point. Whilst she was happy to apologies on behalf of Quality Inn it does make the indicating a preference a bit of a joke. Just a good job the price was good otherwise I don't think I we would have left the issue at that!

Nice Hotel
This is a nice hotel, did 'what it said on the tin' but not really any more than that. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is a fair distance out from the centre of Coventry and a little tricky to drive to, although it's close to a major road. There were no noise issues.

Nice clean hotel
The location of the hotel was really easy to find. With a big car park right in front of hotel very conveinet. Friendly staff, very clean rooms. It was a nice stay .

Great value for money!
I was concerned that this might be a noisy hotel beccause it's so close to the main road- however, I had a blissfully quiet night's sleep. Good spacious room, friendly service, and a thoroughly pleasant stay.

Not a bad stay
Overall the stay was OK, but the rooms could definatley do with some tlc. The beds weren't the most comfortable in the world but cant grumble too much for the price you pay. On a plus note, the food is fantastic!!

Weekend family visit
On arrival we were greeted by a pleasant receptionist and given the key to our room, unfortunately when we went to use the bathroom the ceiling was covered in black mould, the receptionist dealt with this swiftly offering us another room on the opposite side of the hotel, this room was so much better and larger than the very small one we had first been given, turns out that moving to the opposite side of the hotel was definitely a bonus as there was a wedding on, on the Saturday evening as all the guests where congregating outside where our first room would have been. When we returned on the Saturday evening we found our room hadn't been serviced apart from two sachets of coffee being replaced, we had left the bed open to air and it was still pulled back on our return no fresh towels, so I reported this the following morning, I felt the whole time of our stay we were complaining and all we wanted was a quiet weekend and a chance to visit our family. On departure we were asked how our stay was, we mentioned the above problems, and we had an apology by the receptionist, but we felt that this wasn't enough and after our explanations of what we felt was unsatisfactory we were offered a good will gesture and the drinks that we had booked to our room had been taken off, this wasn't a considerably amount of money, but we would have preferred Not to have had to deal with any of the problems we had experienced so I'm not so sure we will be looking to stay again when we visit our family, such a shame as we would have considered this hotel for future as the location for us was ideal. We did look at the pricing for another stay in November and couldn't believe the price for the two nights midweek, I just can't believe how a hotel with the problems we had experienced. Especially the room with black mould on the ceiling, this didn't, appear overnight, it hasn't been addressed for a long period of time can warrant charging 238.00 for two nights. Let's hope the hotel take these points seriously and look to make things right for all future guests.
