Pleasantly surprised
This was a very late booking and I wasn't too worried as it was just a brief stop over. However, I found the hotel to be excellent and I would use it again without hesitation. The reception staff were very polite and helpful, the room was very clean and perfectly adequate. Bathroom immaculately clean with a decent shower. My evening meal in the restaurant was good value, very tasty and served by attentive staff. My only criticism there might be the limited choice, but 'Hunters Chicken' is a regular favourite for me, so no problems. Checkout was quickly done after breakfast and I was on my way.

Peaceful Stay
A wonderful stay and a bargain price! Couldnt believe how nice the hotel was and how pleasant the staff were for the money we paid. Beats a travelodge or premier inn any day!

Just what I look for in a hotel
This place ticks all the boxes for me. Good room, good bed, good bathroom, free wifi, good price.
Staff are friendly and helpful, the room's radiator had been turned on top preheat the room; it's been particularly cold weather recently. Bed was very comfortable. It looks quite impressive from the outside and feels and looks like cosy on the inside.
This has been my second time staying here and will not be my last. Would definitely recommend.
Very minor criticisms:
The check out process seems unusually long.
Cleaners knocked on our door and tried to enter several times even though it was locked. It was a weekend and it was around half 10. We wanted a good lie-in and we didn't get it. On reflection, we did not put up a do not disturb sign, so it's our fault really.

The price of the food is on par with that of dining out. My partner and I are admittedly quite lazy and even we went out to eat both times simply because the menu in the room didn't do a good job of showing if we'd be getting "dine-out" quality meals. I feel like if I could see what we would be getting it would have helped a lot.
The TV is a bit dated and channel 3 has no picture. Although to be fair, if there was no TV I wouldn't have minded anyway.
Comically, it's quite close to another big hotel, however it resembles something more of a run-down block of council flats rather than a hotel; thankfully you just pass it on the way and it's no longer in sight.

Impressed
The staff were very helpful. I was impressed that the hotel offered lady only parking close to the hotel in a well light area of the car park. I booked the accommodation on a late booking and felt I receive value for money. Would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Visiting Aunty Beryl
The price was right compared to Premier Inn. It was clean, tidy and we enjoyed the Sizzling Platters 2 nights in a row. Breakfast is a bit pricey if you don't eat much for the £8.95. My only complaint is that the walls are very thin, making it extremely noisy. Whatever was happening in the next room actually resulted in my bed being pushed away from the wall! You can hear a person sneeze and cough too. Very sleepless nights.

We stayed here for the first time and are most impressed. The staff were very helpful and polite. Food really nice and the hotel is really comfy (as were the beds). Will definitely recommend to others and will stay here in future instead of the Coventry Hill Hotel.

No frills, but good
A decent, honest hotel, with friendly staff at a decent price.
It's a little dated in places, but the bedrooms are fine.
The only downside is lousy Wi-fi

Basic Room but a bit stale, breakfast was not good
This was a really cheap last minute deal which was the positive. The room was very basic and felt like it had not been used in some while. The shower was mouldy on the handle and there was dust and hairs on the cups and trays for drinking. However, the bed was comfortable and we had what we needed. The breakfast was terrible. The bacon was hard and must have been cooked hours before, as was everything else-just warmed up. The egg was fresh. The bread out to cook own toast was totally stale. We did complain and only paid for 1 out of 2 breakfast.
