Best view in Bristol
Stayed here for two nights as mixed business/leisure trip.
Hotel has great location next to suspension bridge and the downs. Also lots of lovely restaurants/bars in the village ehich is two minutes walk away. Great hotel.
Improvements In Place
Glad to see that improvements have been made since our last stay.
Room redecorated to a very good standard. The only issue was with the central heating which is switched off at designated times. Not good on a cold winter's night, which it was and unable to override control. Other than that, excellent. Breakfast was really excellent and presentation superb. It's our favourite hotel whenever we visit Bristol. We specially love the rooms with a view of the Bridge.
Great view of the bridge from our room as promised.
Breakfast was a little steep but kids eat for free and the selection was excellent.
Parking is very difficult around the whole Clifton area.
Not the hotel's fault but something to bear in mind when booking this hotel. Staff weren't particularly helpful about the parking - just told us to keep driving round til we found a space. We eventually did about 10mins walk from the hotel but we had to get up early the next morning to move the car before 8am. Not a great start to the weekend. The hotel itself is nice with amazing views over the suspension bridge. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious and decorated beautifully.
Only one night but would have been pleased to stay for longer.
The hotel and room were very clean. The room was sparsely furnished, but nicely decorated. Despite the hotel being busy our room was very quiet, and the firm bed guaranteed a good night's sleep. A good choice of food at b reakfast with friendly and efficient table service. The location is excellent with lovely views of Clifton Suspension Bridge. Not a modern hotel if that is what you like., but characterful and comfortable.
Nice Hotel, Terrible nights sleep.
The hotel was nice, clean and the room finished to a good standard, and the staff were friendly.
However, the bed was very firm and the pillows were nasty unyielding synthetic lumps, which resulted in an awful nights sleep, which obviously let down the whole experience.
A most enjoyable stay
This hotel was ideal both in it's proximity to where I was working, and it's fantastic location with stunning views over the Avon Gorge and suspension bridge.
This combined with a very well appointed room, friendly service and being in the historic Clifton area of Bristol made for a most enjoyable stay. Thankyou
Great rooms with a good views.
Friendly staff and decent food.
Lovely hotel and good location for Clifton Village and the Suspension Bridge.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The corridor outside the room seemed very noisy though. Helpful staff in the bar, we wanted a quick bite to eat as we were too late for breakfast and this was no problem.
The only issue and perhaps a reason we would not stay again was the parking. We went out for dinner and on our return had to drive around for 15 minutes to get a space quite a distance from the hotel.
The hotel was perfectly clean and nicely presented.
Would recommend for an inexpensive getaway.
