Would Stay Here Again
Needed to stop in Croydon for business.
Chose this one as it had on site parking being a lone woman leaving the hotel at 5:30 am this was important. Wasn't expecting much as the cost was so much lower than others. How wrong I was the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Had a problem with the TV mentioned it and was moved immediately after they couldn't get it working. Was concerned that I may hear the other guests but didn't hear anything. Would stop here again.
Great location, excellent value
Great self contained apartment, wifi and shower were great.
Flexistay South Park ApartHotel
Good Value Hotel
With ample free parking on site or on surrounding streets after 5pm, this hotel is ideal for contractors, sales reps or couples.
Customer Service is good, room was clean and hotel is fairly quiet.
Good place to stay in East Croydon
We found the accommodation very clean and comfortable.
Great to have a restaurant attached to the hotel. DIY breakfast was OK. Kitchen very clean and food well kept
The room was clean and comfortable and was ideal for one night.
Not sure that I would like to stay any longer. Didn't bother with breakfast as at 9 o'clock the kitchen was pretty full and smelled of sweaty feet.
Great Value for Money
As accommodation goes around London, this one of the better places I've stayed at vs the cost.
My room was clean and tidy and importantly quiet i.e. no road noise. The modern kitchen facilities are excellent and it was spotlessly clean with a good selection of basic foods for breakfast. You can help yourself anytime too which I thought was a nice touch. So bacon, egg, sausage, cheese, bread, butter, milk, tea, fruit juice etc. It's got a relaxed feel to the place.
Pleasantly surprised with value for money room.
Had everything & more you wouldn't get in some 5 star plus hotels, the staff were very friendly , & the shower was out of this world, so much power. We will definitely be staying here again when we next visit Croydon .
The TV remote didn't work unless you held it right up to the digibox on the tv which meant we had to get up to change the channel.
We couldn't get a wifi signal in our room and because we needed to plan routes and look up transport information, etc. I ended up going over my mobile data allowance which has cost me. The curtains in the room couldn't be opened as they were attached to the pelmet above so the room was very hot as any breeze from the window was lost as it was blocked by the curtain. A stand alone fan was provided but it was kind of noisy at night and pretty wobbly. The bed was very hard and pretty uncomfortable. We both slept badly and woke up with aches and pains. Only one bulb was working in each bedside light which made the room very gloomy and it was hard to read anything. The food provided in the self-service kitchen was fresh and plentiful and the kitchen was clean but the way the hotel description was written that a buffet breakfast was included we were not expecting to have to cook our own food. The guy on reception was very nice and eager to help but he didn't actually fix any of our problems!!. I was glad we didn't pay the full £99 otherwise I would have been very unhappy.
In two minds.
I booked this at the last minute and it seemed good value when compared with other last minute deals locally for the date.
The young man at the reception desk could not have been more helpful and having booked in escorted me to my room. On route he took me into the guest kitchen, explained the free 24/7 breakfast arrangement (You could stay and eat there without having to bring your own food with you) and showed me the guest lounge and TV area. I had booked a single room with en suite bathroom. I knew the room was not going to be big but once in it I found it sad and depressing. The bed linen and bath towels were very clean and I liked the fact I had access to an ironing board and steam iron in my room itself. However the room needed to be decorated and the carpet replaced as it was dirty and stained. Three out of the four wall lights did not work and there was no plug in the bathroom sink. The shower itself was fine and the water pressure superb. But when in the shower cubicle itself that was raised off the floor (You stepped up in to it) you could clearly see that the ceiling above the toilet was dropping. I had taken earplugs with me having read some of the previous reviews of noise experience both from the on site restaurant and the adjacent railway line and as a result I had a reasonable nights sleep. I like some of what the hotel had too offer and as a last minute booking even without making use of the breakfast facilities (My choice) just about had value for my money, but you can stay for less than a 5 minute walk away from East Croydon Station at the recently refurbished Travelodge and pay in the region of £38 per night for a large family room. I think they are operating in such a competitive market within the local area that if I was booking in advance as I would normal do I would not even consider this hotel as a viable option. .
