Really different experience
Staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout my stay at the South Park. The rooms could probably do with a bit of updating but the additional flexible accomodation with the fully fitted out kitchen and dining and lounge area for hotel guests was a revelation. As previous reviewers say, you can make a proper cup of coffee, a bacon sandwich or have some cereal 24 hours a day. There are also fridges for you to keep a ready meal and full cooking facilities if you fancy cooking a full dinner. The guest lounge is comfortable and a real bonus to the regular traveller like me who is used to perching on the end of the bed or on an uncomfortable chair. The staff work hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible and I would definitely stay again when in the area.

Great, for the money.
A nice clean, and modern, room with quite possibly one of the best showers I have ever experienced in a hotel. The self service all day 24 hr breakfast is a great idea, especially if you are working unusual hours.

One night stay for retirement get together
Very warm and friendly upon arrival, given quick tour of building before being shown to my room which I was pleasantly suprised with, made use of the large remote controlled fan on the wall as it was a sticky warm evening.
Didn't eat here but thought the help yourself ingredients for eating at whatever time you liked is a nice touch that I haven't seen anywhere before.
Overall, very pleased and I would definitely like to come back and sample the adjoining Indian restaurant.

Although the staff are very helpfull they have a busy restaurant that is open to the public making it a lot busier, and if you have an early night once the kitchen has closed and customers are gone there is quite a lot off noise from cleaning, moving chairs etc. so don't plan on sleeping till at least 01:00. I would stay again but would ask for a room away from the ally and kitchen.

not too bad
Deserted due to the time of year. Family run and friendly. Basic accomodation well maintained. Only complaint was I thought it was too expensive for the class of hotel.
