Very nice but slightly overprced
Lovely Hotel but for £124 a night the room was very small and the bathroom was so cramped the sink almost overhang the toilet and the fixed toiletries could not be reached from the bath. The view was gorgeous and there is a very nice walk up the hill from the side of the hotel,

A Gem Stone
A friendly relaxing inn and despite a wedding taking up most of the accommodation we were treated as if we were the only people staying there,
The evening meal was superb with nice little touches like being offered canapies whilst reading the menu(at no extra cost) and also being offered still or sparkling water (at no extra cost).
Well done Ravenstone Manor, we hope to return.

An Absolute Must for Cumbria / Lake District
During my 16 years covering Cumbria and Scotland - I have stayed in many hotels, Ravenstone Manor has to be the best in those 16 years.
Recently bought and being tastefully renovated, as well as researched, forget any past experiences you may have had there.
16 Miles from the M6 - Well worth the detour.
Also it is essential that you sample the food - Particularly different and one of Cumbria's better experiences.
