3Self Classified Bed and Breakfast Ratings explained
10 Trafalgar Road , Blackpool, FY1 6AW
As a well established hotel we offer a more traditional style of bed and breakfast ensuring all of our rooms are comfortable and the atmosphere is relaxing to make your stay more enjoyable. We are situated close to the sea front approximatley mid-way between the pleasure beach to the south and the tower to the north with views of the beach and sea from our front patio beer garden. Our breakfast includes a selection of cereals, fresh juices, tea, coffee, toast followed by a full english breakfast which consists of cumberland sausage, bacon, egg, fresh tomatoes, hash brown, fresh mushrooms and scottish black pudding. We are open all year so can accomodate people who are not just here for a holiday but people who are here on business aswell either at one of the major conferences staged in Blackpool or contractors who need accomodation whilst working in the local area. If you are considering a longer break we are in close proximity to the beautiful areas including the West Yorkshire Dales, The Lake District, The Scottish Borders, Isle of Man, Liverpool and Manchester. With the new promenade, new trams arriving, new and improved attractions now is the time to come and visit us and enjoy a brand new experience whether you are looking for a quiete get away or to have a fun-filled time their is plenty to do for everybody of all ages ............ hope to see you soon !!!

Glenroy Hotel
I would like to say a big thank you to Pat and his mother for a very warm welcome and coninued caring during our two night stay. It was a total pleasure and I would recommend to my friends and family. Pat was only too pleased to offer advice on places to eat, things to do and to avoid.
We look forward to a return trip to Blackpool and will definitely book with Pat again

A wonderful weekend
It gives us great pleasure to give a testimonial for the Glenroy Hotel as the quality of service and attention to the customers enjoyment of not only the hotel but of the whole blackpool experience was Pat's aim in making me and my wife's weekend an exceptional vacation, We have never been made to feel so welcome in any hotel as Pat made me feel at the Glenroy nothing was to much trouble for Pat and the whole weekend felt as if we were staying with family rather than in a hotel.

August Bank Holiday
From arrival at this b&b the owners Pat and Maureen made us feel at home. we were shown where to park the car and made a welcome cuppa. our room was clean and airy. Bathroom on list to be done soon but was fine for the time we were there. Bar was well stocked and breakfast was lovely.

over night stay.
We had a lovely welcome from Pat when we arrived . The rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds , beautiful douvets and pillows which ensured a great nights sleep.. A good hearty full english breakfast was served the next morning. Pat was very hospitable and helpful and all in all made our stay in Blackpool very enjoyable. Certainly will return.

Thankyou for taking the time to review our hotel - however I would like to pick up on a couple of points raised and your overall scoring: Firstly we do agree with the radiator which will be moved in time as it does not leave a huge amount of room at the foot of the bed however their is plenty of room around the bed as a whole noting lots of hotels have rooms where one side is up against the wall where we do not !! The flat screen digital tv's are very awkward to place and are not design for you to lay flat in the bed in a sleeping position but more so to sit up or sit in the chair provided - the overall value for money and room quality scores I feel are quite harsh - this room has had over £1000 of beds, carpets and furnishings spent on it recently and with regards to value for money any person who are home owners and are bill payers are well aware of the huge increase in the cost of living over the past 5 years - my gas bill alone is in excess of £450 per month (just 1 bill) !!! The room prices are set accordingly to cover my outgoings and leave a very slender profit margin which is even not enough for me to draw a salary from the business !!! The comment re the bathroom again I find harsh as our en-suites are a typical size for an establishment of our size and nature - and are more than adequate for the customers needs. I am doing my upmost best to make all of our customers stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible and it is ever harder in the business climate we are currently trading in!!
