Upon check-in your assistant walks you to your room and explains all the facilities your room has to offer. Throughout your stay staff are on hand to assist with any query you may have, and on check-out (after a hearty breakfast, of course), we will ensure you an efficient and memorable departure, wishing you a pleasant journey and hoping you return again soon. A personalised concierge service is at the guests' disposal 24 hours a day for all requirements and needs and each of the bedrooms has been designed to incorporate comfort with modern needs. The New Steine Bistro is our own restaurant, which caters for snacks throughout the day and evening meals, 5 days a week. Offering homemade French cuisine along with British fare, with either a full a la carte menu or daily 3 course special menu, it is the perfect place to enjoy exquisite food in a welcoming environment. We also have available for hire a selection of conference rooms with full facilities, with a capacity up to 55 people theatre style, which can be hired out on a room only basis, or on a selection of Day and 24 Hour delegate rates. *Please note that, as we are a small intimate venue, we are unable to accept children under the age of 3 years old within the breakfast room, restaurant or bar. However room service breakfast and dinner can be arranged at no additional charge.

Great location

Good points...

Great location just a few minutes walk from the centre of Brighton and Pier. My window overlooked the grassy square which was nice. Free motorbike bay at the end of the road. Tea, coffee, safe, shower, basin, free wifi and tv in room. Cheaper than many other hotels and guest houses in the area. And the rest.... Booked a single with 'separate private facilities' which I took to mean not ensuite but a toilet and shower for my sole use however this was not the case. The shower was in the room however the toilet was 2 flights of stairs down in full view of the glazed front door and was also used by other guests and restaurant customers too. Just something to bear in mind. The room was very small although big enough for 1 person for a couple of nights however the sink was awkward to use being on an angled wall facing the shower and the drains were quite smelly. The room was clean enough but a bit tired - eg cracks in the wall, corroded shower, back panel hanging off the wardrobe. Again fine for what I wanted however don't book expecting 4* new, modern fittings. Overall it was fine for what I needed however I'd probably try one of the other similar properties next time.

Nothing special but okay

We booked an Executive Deluxe Double for £119 and it was okay.

The room was small and the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything going on in other rooms. Breakfast was no frills but tasty. We managed to find a parking space and purchased a 24 hour permit from the hotel. We wouldn't stay again as we both value a good night's sleep and need a bigger bed.
