Best weekend ever!
We stayed 2 nights in chessington at hotel safari for my daughter's 7th birthday treat.
The hotel was great and looked amazing in the eyes of a 7year old. Greeted by turtles and lizards at the main reclusion next to a film area for kids which had animal themed movies playing all throughout the day. We had a double bed with bunk beds which was too big really for just the 2 of us but great none the less. My bed was super comfortable compared to your standard hotel bed. The pool was great for us, I didn't like swimming and my daughter was learning. It's 1.2m all the way so brilliant for her as she feared the deeper depths. Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna that I didn't use as there were only the 2 of us. A splash pool for children with water fountains and a slide. We forgot to book on the Sunday before we went to the park and unfortunately there were no spaces to swim until the Monday at 10.30 which was great as we checked out at 10 and went back in to swim. Staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay and very polite especially the staff in the zafafi grill restaurant. Food was great, evening menu, I think it was slightly on the expensive side (maybe because I was slightly poor during my stay!)access to the park was very easy and lovely that you can go through a small gated area which held monkeys and such and a treetop adventure park which was exclusively open after park hours too for hotel guests. The kids club in the evening were fantastic, they held it in the Aztec hotel in the bar, the area was quite small so get there early and grab a seat or you may have to stand. Great time of the year to visit, it was just busy enough that you rarely waited longer than 30 mins for a ride. Perfect treat away and a good price, I booked about 6 weeks before and 2 weeks later the room pice has increased dramatically so to get a better price book earlier. I then paid when I checked out. You could stay at a nearby hotel for half the price but the themed hotel is that little extra something to make the kids happy, you can see the zoo animals right outside the hotel Windows, the continence of walking 1 minute and not having to queue ages to get in with your ticket, the pool and evening entertainment were perfect.my daughter wants to go every year for her birthday!
