About the hotel
Astley House offers environmentally friendly, basic, value, budget accommodation. It is only a 15-minute walk to the Minster & York city centre. All rooms are private with small shower rooms, basins and toilets and the property is non-smoking throughout.
Please take a moment to read through the following terms and conditions before booking. All bookings are advance purchase - fully pre-paid, non-refundable and non-transferable. The total cost of room/s and a £60 security deposit per room will be charged at the time of booking. Deposits are refunded on the day of departure. We found it reaches most guests accounts by midnight, but it can take up to 72 hours. A mobile number is required to receive a self check-in message on your day of arrival. You also accept responsibility to read the common sense house rules in your bedroom. Bedding is provided free of charge, but for environmental reasons we encourage all guests to bring their own fitted sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases. Beds are not made to make it easier for guests who bring their own bedding. Towels are not included, but can be rented for only £1 per towel. Astley House review
Stayed here Weds 11th May-13th May 2016
Recently stayed here for the 3 day race meeting
Hotel codes and and access sent on the day before 12.00pm making booking in very easy
Free car park very handy and safely tucked away to the rear of property
Very close to York city center and just a 10 minute walk away
Rooms are outstanding value for money
I can highly recommend this hotel and will be stayimng again in the near future
back to basics
Attic room very basic and small at the top of three flights of stairs.
TV reception poor and I think the TV was Arthur Negas', It probably dated back to the early 70's. The instructions on the wall about bedding and cleaning the room didn't make me feel very welcome
