About the hotel
A 400 year old Lakeland Inn with oak beams, real fires and small, cosy rooms. Famed for our real ales and extensive menu of freshly cooked dishes, using local produce as much as possible. Situated in the middle of picturesque Elterwater village, with the magnificent Langdale Pikes as a backdrop, there are walks of every variety in all directions from the front door.

Immaculate, friendly, lovely room and bathroom. We wished we had time to stay longer and would thoroughly recommend a stay here especially for walkers. Food yummy!
