Don't go

The hotel is situated on an estate, 30 minute walk from the tube station not 15 as was stated.

We booked in at the bar and was shown our room next door. It was a small ground floor room. When I rang to book the room I was asked if I wanted to pay extra for breakfast, I said we did. Wrong answer. The breakfast was a strange continental affair that contained 3 pints of UHT milk, cheese triangles, apples, possessed cheese squares. 6 bits of sliced bread, 3 different yogurts, jam, children's breakfast cereal all delivered in our room while we were out, We had no cutlery or bowls

The room was unbearably hot as the heating was on, both radiator controls had been broken off so we could not turn it down. As we were on the ground floor, the option of opening a window did not appeal as there was a lot of noise and people rowing in the road. Don't go......

Initial entry to room seemed bleak.

Continental breakfast good value for money. Room very basic but clean. Bedding smelled fresh n room warm. As a lady travelling alone I thought it was a reasonable base at a reasonable value. At 40 pounds per night I wasn't expecting much. Breakfast basket in the room really good value. Room decor (no3) could do with streamlining colourwise as in decor bedding etc get rid of the garish coloured quilt covers n towels n just use white.

Same for walls just magnolia.

Didn't want to use communal kitchen but as continental was put in room supply knife for bread etc n bowl for cereal. But made do with butter wrapper to spread and used cup for cereal. Overall.... if I was travelling with my partner he would of walked out straight away... this is purely on a visual basis.....looking past that...I slept reasonably well room was warm n cozy and breakfast was good. Xxx
