Rooms are on the basic side but clean and reasonably equipped.
I did have a few minor gripes - the bed was a little soft for my liking, but that's always a personal thing anyway. The taps in the bathroom are of the push down (public toilets) variety, and water pressure was pretty high, so it was hard not to get sprayed when using the sink. Also the room lights were either way too bright (the main light was a big round fitting on the side so looked like a mini sun!), or too dim (bedside light was a very directional spotlight onto the bedside cabinet). I wasn't too bothered with that as the room was very spacious, the shower was great and everything else was as you'd expect. The food was very good, with lots of choice, especially desserts!
Great location in fabulous grounds
Well equipped room and good value for money with breakfast included.
A sports centre of excellence so expect plenty of track-suited fellow guests (I had breakfast with the Man United football academy & Team GB junior athletics) as a result some areas have the aroma of a locker room, but all in all a great place to stay.
