Lovely homely hotel
Was a lovely place to stay with friendly staff and a lovely room, trivago quoted the room £60 which was in fact £99 when following the link.
We booked 2 rooms and were allocated numbers 25 and 30.
My wife and I occupied room 25. The room and ensuite were a good size and the bedlinen was clean. Unfortunately the room was a designated fire escape which meant there was a dedicated door within the room in case of fire. Above the fire door was a bright green "fire exit" light which remained on throughout the night. The glow filled the room as it reflected off the ceiling. I assume that if a fire did occur my wife and I would have had to allow immediate access to other patrons whilst trying to organise ourselves for any evacuation. We were not advised of this at the time of booking or when we arrived. The shower was about 3 /4 foot high with headroom of under 6 foot. This meant that in order to shower the shower head had to be hand held. Unfortunately the water pressure became less and less powerful the lower the shower head was held. On a positive note the continental breakfast was varied and good. It also came with friendly service. We did not complain about the room as we only stayed one night but I would have requested another room if we had booked a longer stay.
