Disappointing stay

I booked this accommodation for my partner and his father, for a special boys night away from home for fathers day.

firstly the lad on reception for very abrupt with my father in law. They were given a double room, even though I had booked a family room. This was later changed (they were told as an upgrade) as there was a party there. They wanted to book a table for an evening meal, as per their website, but were told they were not able to because of the party!. Resulting in them having to book taxis back and forth to town to enable them to have a meal. More expense!. This spoilt the weekend for them I had booked, I was VERY disappointed.

We had the best time! (Oscar is amazing!)

We recently stayed at your hotel for a friends wedding.

The room itself was beautiful, the views were gorgeous. Very clean and I even found the hairdryer. The spring mattresses were slightly old and the double bed was actually two twins pushed together. This was a tiny bit disappointing, but not as much as there being only one towel even though we clearly booked the room for two people. The staff absolutely made up for any shortcomings. I must mention Oscar, who made us feel so at ease and at home whilst at the hotel. He even brought out his guitar and jammed with the bride and groom till 3am. Brilliant stay, it was quite sad to leave. But we will be back. If for anything, it would be the delicious breakfast they served us. 5*!
