Good clean and value for money.
Noisy and no Net Curtains!
I expect at least two things from a B& B or Hotel; a good night's sleep and privacy.
It was so hot when I stayed, the room was like an oven. There was no fan and I had to sleep with the windows open. The noise from the nearby A38 was so great it was like trying to sleep in a storm. I was in room 5.
Also, there were no net curtains, so there was no privacy from houses on the estate or the adjacent room which was at right angles to mine. Apparently Head Office won't let them put any up. This means you either have to change with the curtains closed or put on a show. Same for lying on your bed; keep your clothes on or draw the curtains, or put on a show. Too hot to have curtains closed. The bedside lamp didn't work either, so reading in bed was difficult. All this for £50. I've had cheaper and better else where. The bar area is a bit charmless as well. Looks better from the outside. Meals seemed a bit expensive to me, but you can judge that for yourself from their menu on their website, if you really want to risk staying here. The breakfast was free but I didn't have it so can't comment on it. Room and en suite were clean. One to avoid I would say unless you can't find anything better.
