About the hotel
The Sandbanks is the perfect choice, whether you simply want a relaxing break, need to entertain a family, want a quiet business meeting or plan a full-on activity holiday. With rooms for the business traveller to rooms for families, the Sandbanks Hotel caters for all. Our rooms include Tea and Coffee making facilities, Hairdryer, Toiletries, Free Wi-Fi and use of the Leisure Facilities.
For families, the major attraction is perhaps the sandy beach with its Blue Flag for cleanliness, with RNLI lifeguards on duty in the summer season. There’s also the 10m heated indoor swimming pool and the organised entertainment programme that helps to keep children occupied (and gives the adults time to enjoy themselves too). If rest and relaxation is your aim, you may be happy just sitting and wandering along t he beach. For Watersports, our Watersports Academy is on the doorstep. Here you may take courses or just hire the equipment you need. You can choose from a wide range of activities, including windsurfing, kite surfing, wakeboarding, power boating, dinghy sailing, diving, kayaking and bike riding (and we have tow-alongs, trailers and mini-bikes for children). If you wish to venture further afield, you can also charter our 44’ sailing catamaran, or one of our ribs. For a memorable event, or celebration, the combination of perfect location, excellent service and outstanding value is hard to beat. Not great value for money.
I did thouraghly enjoy my stay in Sandbanks.
It's a beautiful place and the people are really fabulous. I will say in regards to the hotel the location was fantastic, the food was great and the view breath taking. However I feel the Sandbanks are letting themselves down on presentation and customer service. I didn't find staff particularly helpful on the first day and the bed had sand inside the sheets so obviously had not been made from the last guest that stayed. In terms of value for money, it was pricey for what it was, the bed was not comfortable and like I say hadn't even been changed. So I won't be staying here again. We used the Haven hotel for the spa, which was extremely relaxing, unfortunately there were no treatments available as you have to book prior to your stay which was not advised previously and the hot tub was out of order which was disappointing.
Bathroom a bit old and rusty.
Nice hotel, great location but a bit tired and in need of a refurbish. Would expect higher standard for the price. I stay in hotels regularly and have stayed in much nicer ones for this price, although I will be returning as the beach and view are gorgeous
