very nice hotel

I stayed here friday night one night last minute booking.

Lovely hotel, breakfast and single room great. Just one niggle. Arrived spaces in car park, however was informed my single room didnt have parking. I had to park up the hill on the main road. The single room wasnt particulary cheap for the night, in my opinion should be first come first served re parking, if you arrive late you take chance if carepark full. I had to walk back down the road in the dark.

The hosts are obviously working hard to maintain & improve this fabulous building.

They have their priorities right & currently it is newly decorated, clean and characterful whilst still being a little bit 'simple' and 'minimally ordained'; it is charming, with a lovely garden & garden room (with newspapers) and it is wonderful value for money.
