About the hotel

The Thornbury Castle is adjacent to the famous Cotswolds in Gloucestershire. The only Tudor castle in England which has been transformed into a hotel. Where once kings and queens lived, families can now stay and enjoy unforgettable holidays.

Thornbury Castle offers 27 princely chambers, two private dining rooms, including one held in the Tudor style hall, and a beautiful courtyard with a 500 year old vineyard, which is located within the castle walls. Our restaurant provides modern, internationally-inspired and traditional dishes that are always freshly prepared and include selected ingredients from the castle's own garden and from markets and suppliers in the region. Thornbury Castle . . . a truly unique setting for your stay.

One of the best places I have stayed.

The staff were excellent and the place itself was out of this world.

Could not speak more highly of the hotel if I tried.

I would whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone and know they would have a fantastic stay

Welcoming and very medieval

beautiful setting, fantastic suite booked for my wife's birthday and we were not dissapointed.

The tasting menu was excellent and the wine match was brilliant. A little pricey but worth it for a special celebration. Only down side is a minimum 2 night stay although we got around this with Late rooms
