About the hotel

Few hotels in the Western Highlands have such a long & distinguished history as The Inveraray Inn. Designed in 1750 by the famous Scottish builder John Adam, The Inveraray Inn is one of most historic hotels on the west coast of Scotland. It is in a lovely location at the gateway to the Highlands, on the shores of Loch Fyne and Shira, and now offers 36 comfortable, en suite bedrooms, excellent cuisine and traditional Highland hospitality with peaty malt whiskies to savour.

Whilst sitting in the conservatory, you’ll witness spectacular views over Loch Fyne. This is an idyllic hideaway and an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Western Highlands and Islands. Originally built to accommodate officials visiting the Inverarary Castle, The Inveraray Inn offers standards of hospitality that more than live up to its illustrious past. The Hotel Boasts a restaurant as well as a Lounge bar and Public bar that serve bar meals for Lunch and Dinner, Showing Sport on Sky Tv and also benifits from a Pool table and Juke Box. Inveraray enjoys a picturesque setting on the shores of Loch Fyne, where it meets Loch Shira. There is a 9-hold golf course nearby, bird watching sites and wonderful walking and hiking routes. Argyll stay

Hotel requires some upgrading especially en suite facilities the bath & sink in room 207 were badly chipped and stained Staff were generally very nice however they could not accomodate us for lunch on the day of our arrival as they had a coach party in for lunch and therefore could not serve lunch to other customers

The Argyll Hotel - a Bespoke Hotel

Quirky building with sloping floors.

Good service but breakfast was a little rushed. Interesting place with great location. Could maybe do with a little freshening up.
