Avoid at all costs

Booked Overstone Park as a last minute treat for me and my partner.

Arrived to be told we couldn't use the bar or restaurant as there was a Wedding and that food would not be available. No attempt to resolve this with me despite the fact I was promised that the "Manager" would speak to me on checking out. Surprise surprise on checking out the "Manager" was "off sick" and would ring me the following day..... no phone call, fobbed off as expected. Such a shame that such beautiful surroundings are so poorly run.

Empower your team to deal with customers issues at the point which they arise.

Bedrooms in poor condition, nails protruding from woodwork in bathroom. Floorboards so creaky in the room upstairs we struggled to sleep. Breakfast is at best a 4/10. Go and get breakfast of a better quality and price locally elsewhere. I stay away at least twice a week for work, this is the worst experience I have had in many years. We paid £90 for a very poor B&B experience - avoid this place if you can, you certainly will not be getting the experience that the website promises.

not the quality required these days

On arrival greeted very well by Linda.

We made our way to the rooms, no foot path. Limited disabled parking time slots on weekend. The room was small and charmless and dim, no prints or pictures to cheer it up. The shower room was tired and mould was obvious to see when on the loo.

The showerhead had no rise and fall bar and v/high. The step in/out of the shower was high for less able clients (my wife) needed option of small step up. The food in the bars was very good and prompt service. Overall the staff were good. Breakfast was bad. One of the worst, eggs floating in grease and under cooked, short of cups and plates. Staff at breakfast seemed under pressure. With few guests, they need more training and support. To sum up, unless you are a crazy golfer and need to come here for that. With £75 a room and the options out there in the market place. This place needs to up its game. Dirty showers and facilities (foyer toilets) are not a option.
