Situated in the north shore area of Blackpool and within easy reach of Blackpool's many attractions. Having just completed a multi-million pound refurbishment, all 145 stylishly decorated bedrooms include Telephone, TV, Hairdryer and Tea & Coffee making facilities. Many of the rooms offer Sea Views and Spa Baths.

Gilbert’s restaurant offers a big hearty breakfast, light lunches and traditional mouth watering 3-course Dinners. The Albany Bar compliments the restaurant with its warm and cosy seating area and is the perfect place for that relaxing drink or snack. The six conference rooms that are available have first class facilities and hold up to 400 people. WIFI is free to all guests and is available in all public areas of the hotel.

The Savoy

On arrival, (7.30pm) I asked if food was available, I was told No, we are now finished serving, though the information within the hotel room stated otherwise (hot food served from 12 – 8pm).

I passed reception area at just past 8pm to see hot steaming hot food being delivered to your reception office, how nice. In the morning, there was no hot water, the receptionist said the switch had tripped on the boiler so I had a cold shower.

Families beware - The hotel is only habitable for pets!

My husband and I stayed at the Savoy with our 12 year old daughter, 9 year old son and 11 month old baby for 2 days in July 2016.

There were a number of issues with the hotel due to its age, but families beware of the safety issues that we found. Such as bunk beds that were falling apart and being held together by tape, the smell of strong paint fumes from adjoining rooms which were being decorated, faulty hard-wiped appliances (hairdryer sparked in my daughters hand and caught fire) and that the window wouldn't shut and the gap was being bridged by bath towers. The towels, the window sill and skirting board was covered in animal faeces.

We have reported all our issues to the manager of the hotel and investigations are being carried out. Until I have received a satisfactory conclusion, I would not recommend this hotel to any families with young children.
