Lamp didn't work, couldn't get in the spa, was not made aware of check out time, clean room polite staff, couldn't get in the spa was told it was fully booked
All a bit disappointing
Having travelled to attend a wedding at the hotel and also stay overnight, I was told by the hotel, that it was fully booked, although able to book through Late Rooms.
I was quite excited judging by the majority of positive reviews I had seen. However, it all seemed a bit disappointing. All the rooms used were very warm (ceremony, both receptions and accommodation) - I'm not sure whether there is any air conditioning. The food at the wedding reception was standard fare and only warm. Some people complained about the food (or lack of) at the evening buffet. All drinks at premium prices. Single Room small. Short wardrobe with broken drawer. Cheap looking fittings in bathroom. Not the quality I was expecting at the price (£138), maybe the more expensive Club Rooms were classier. Never ate breakfast (although included in price), but was told by others it was good. When I was checking in, someone was complaining about the upstairs location of their room (which was changed). Then someone was complaining about being asked to give reception their email address. I didn't see any management during the time I was there (although I wasn't really looking out for them), but this lack of any real leadership gave a chaotic-type feel to the event and the hotel. Nice location though. Felt it could have been much better. Overall, a bit of a let down.
