Murray park hotel better option than the Hydro
We stayed at the Murray Zpark hotel at the end of July.
Husband teenage son and mother in her 80's. Our request for a room in ground floor was honoured due to walking difficulties. Staff are fabulous, nothing is too much trouble and totally friendly- notably Calum .
Room is fine with tea making facilities, though one set of two biscuits is less than what other hotels offer (at least one set each). Shower room is fine, though think minimal toiletries only was offered.
Breakfast very nice and one lunch mum had in bar area, was very good. A little disappointed with menu choice at dinner time and quality received was not representative of price,( the same I feel is true at the Hydro where we also had a dinner). Lounge area now has a TV which is good but is cold, even in July. However it is pleasant and a good base. We've been a few times now and this was least best visit- let down by dinner choice and quality of haddock meal.
Excellent service by staff, warm and friendly greeting when checking in and out
Very nice hotel and added bonus you are allowed to use the facilities at the Hydro hotel, something I did not have time to do, but would in the future.
Nice clean hotel, very friendly and attentive staff who made me feel very welcome. Basic menu, but I had a full three course meal, and everything about it was perfect. I ate in the bar, and as stated the menu was basic, but the quality, presentation and how the food tasted could not be faulted.
The highest compliment I would say is it will be the first hotel I will look for when staying or eating in the area again.
