Poor area, service and facilities
The hotel is in a very run down area with vagrants, prostitutes and beggars clearly visible.
The streets are very noisy with people shouting, traffic and are filthy. The hotel is advertised as being 'completely renovated 3-star superior hotel'. In fact it is completely run down and in need of renovation. Our room was nothing like the images - being dark, cheap and worn and there was black mould in the shower, old dried old soap in the soap tray, the mini bar was broken so we had no facility to chill water. There were large patches of damp and staining on the walls. Our family member who had another room had no mini bar. The staff were not interested. Breakfast was DIY coffee, juice and toast, 1 type of cereal, 2 tasteless hams and one tasteless cheese (all cut from rectangular blocks), 1 croissant and one roll - not what you expect in Italy. I couldn't get hot water for a herbal tea as they wouldn't allow me to go to the breakfast room where the only machine was in the evening. I asked about room service and was told no. Internet was OK if you needed less than an hour a day. After that you had to buy a 'ticket' but they had none. They even tried to charge us again when we checked out!
Hotel location was great, just a short walk from the main train station, hotel was clean and rooms were nice.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel lovely, but Naples itself is a bit scruffy!
