Excellent accommodation and staff
Old hunting lodge with lovely creaky floorboards, old furniture and log fires. Four poster bed; very clean room in the hotel itself (there are rooms separate from the hunting lodge building). Fabulous and new looking spa, although disappointed that pool was out of action on our stay. Staff were excellent - very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Only slight criticism would be the over-priced evening meal (£45 per head). However, definitely stay again, perhaps at a different time of year to enjoy the vast grounds.
Hugely disappointed the pool was closed for maintenance as this was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel.
