Love this hotel!
I prefer hotels with character.
This was originally a private residence built in the late 19th century. Great location just off Kensington High Street. My room was on the third floor at the back, with
a private balcony, and very quiet. Although single room was small it was well appointed with
everything necessary for a comfortable stay. .As an older traveller, I appreciated the grab rail for
extra security in the shower. The wash basin also had a surround for toiletries etc. I often find there
is nowhere to put anything down in hotel bathrooms. Toiletries provided were an expensive brand. For a small charge I was served a delicious continental breakfast in my room, ordered the night before. There was a comprehensive menu to choose from. I was also able to adjust heating in the bedroom and bathroom. My only negative comment would be perhaps a thicker duvet now we are in autumn. Loved the ladies magazine provided too, and being able to open French window onto the balcony. Great for the Royal Albert Hall, just a few minutes walk away. Will definitely be staying again.
Comfortable and convenient
We enjoyed our night here and the hotel is very convenient for the Albert Hall where we attended a Promenade Concert.
The room was very clean and comfortable though on the small side and the location surprisingly peaceful. The staircase is lovely. Staff were pleasant and the continental buffet breakfast offered a good rage of choices.
