Excellent Cottage - poor Spa facilities
The cottage we stayed at (C3) was absolutely superb with a beautiful fully fitted kitchen, lounge, huge fridge freezer (handy for the bubbly), huge leather pull-out comfy sofa, huge coffee table (with drafts and chess pieces within), great sized TV and wonderful views of the surrounding grounds, it was truly magical.
However, I can only rate the spa facilities as reasonable - a bit of a let down to be honest. They included a well kept clean sauna and steam room (although shame the steam wasn't infused with eucalyptus or similar as others do).
BUT what really let this Spa Hotel down (and advertised as Spa Hotel) was the pool and 'Spa' itself. Firstly the jacuzzi was part of the main pool and as such at the same temperature (can be seen from photos) . The pool although clean and beautiful was filled with children (being children and screaming) - hardly a relaxing time could be had from adults who are attempting to escape such daily life. Of course coupled with parents who fail to realise others might have spent significant money to visit this wonderful hotel, there was pool bombing, jumping and some diving which doesn't make for a relaxing opportunity. Lastly only three loungers. Very disappointed :-(
However, the Cottage, grounds and Lymington itself were idyllic.
Very spacious apartment
Stayed in Henry Tudor 2, a 2 bed ground floor apartment with 18 month old.
It's about 100m from the car park. Very spacious apartment and well equiped. Would definitely stay again.
