excellent central location
Great location and if you stay at the back of the hotel very quiet although the view is likely to be of a car park or roof.
Public rooms well appointed and bedrooms clean and comfortable. Overall service was good but if busy the bar could be a bit slow unless more staff around.
Hotel good, staff good.
However as the hotel is ageing beware the noisy heating system, we had to turn our room heating off to stop the noise of the water running through the pipes. No good when the temperature outside was in the minus during our stay. If possible if you stay at the hotel request a room on the top floor, if you don't like the sound of others walking around on squeaky floor boards and keeping you awake. I did complain about this and as we were upgraded to a privilege room, the hotel deducted the extra we would have been charged for upgrade. Overall a good stay.
