From the moment that we arrived at The Belsfield we were greeted by a lovely bubbly receptionist who couldn't do enough for us.
She booked us a dinner reservation and even went to check with the chef that they could accommodate me as I am allergic to gluten. The lady was so friendly and polite that I actually commented to my fiancé as to how lovely she was. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic and certainly rivaled some of the best Manchester restaurants we have eaten in. Service in the restaurant was also outstanding and out waitress did everything she could for my gluten free requirements. The hotel interior and rooms were beautiful and done to a very high standard. Myself and my fiancé were in the Lake District looking at wedding venues and we are actually planning on booking The Belsfield as we were so impressed with everything!!. I would highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel refurb is first class, all rooms where well presented.
However, the staff unfortunately could be more courteous acknowledging guests and it would service would then be first class. Arrived 3.15 in afternoon expecting to be able to check in straight away. Was told our room would be another 1.5hrs. An alternative was offered with a 15min wait and a complimentary drink was given for inconvenience. Its first impressions that count and this experience let it down. But overall a great location and will certainly go back.
