About the hotel
Situated in the heart of the city, the Parliament House Hotel is the perfect place to explore cosmopolitan Edinburgh. In just a few minutes, you can walk to the world famous Princes Street, and the main business community, shopping and entertainment areas are all within easy reach. Rooms have been tastefully and traditionally furnished in keeping with the character of the building and offer a high standard of accommodation.
We even introduced a " little local character" in every one of our rooms. We also appeal to delegates meeting for a day or two, family’s and friends attending a city wedding, theatregoers catching a quick bite in our bistro and couples making the most of Edinburgh on a weekend break. Whether it is business or leisure, there is always time to relax amongst the comfort and warmth of the Parliament House Hotel.

I booked this hotel as part of a birthday present for boyfriend.
The hotel overall is great. The location was ideal for us, just off Princes street, walking distance from Waverly Station and pretty much across the road from the St James Shopping Centre. The room was a good size with a comfy bed and was very clean and well kept. The reception area is clean and cozy they even light the fires at night. The one down point about the room is it can get quite warm during the night. We only had breakfast in the bistro attached to the hotel. I'm a fussy eater and I found it okay. There was plenty of choices and the hot food was very tasty. Will definitely stay here again in the future.
Dinner was excellent and the waitresses friendly and efficient.
Our room was in the old part of the hotel - on the 5th floor and no working lift all the way, however, we did have a lovely view. Sadly, that did not compensate for no water at all in the bathroom on the first morning. We stayed during the festival/tattoo so all prices are doubled. This hotel is central, and close to the station, but we came away feeling a tad ripped off at the cost. Sometimes you don't mind paying the extra during busy times, but this time we didn't think it was worth it.
