100% would recommend it to a friend
I booked 2 nights at the Aldor, for myself, my partner & 2 young children.
We had a family ensuite room, and it was just fantastic. Upon arrival, I was quite shocked at how nicely maintained the front -outside of the hotel was, really clean with pretty seasonal plants and all freshly painted. As soon as the front door to the hotel was opened a really clean fresh fragrance hit me, making me pleased already that I'd booked this hotel. The front reception area was spotlessly clean. I was really impressed with the decor, contemporary, modern and stylish bit homely and cosy at the same time. The owners were so helpful and efficient in getting us to our room. The room itself was so nice, spacious and really cosy but modern. With a good sized shower & toilet room. There was free wi/fi available at the hotel too, with the passwords to connect clearly displayed. We also booked breakfast and this was just superb. The breakfast room was really clean and was decorated beautifully. There was lots of light in the room and it was just a lovely start to the day eating in there. The food was delicious. There was a really good variety too including hot cooked food, served upon request. Plus toast, cereals and fresh fruit juices, plenty of tea /coffee. There was even a selection of toys and books for children staying at the hotel to access, which I thought was really considerate and a nice idea. The owners themselves were lovely people, so helpful and friendly, and made us feel very welcome. Even the location of the hotel was great, a short walk from the shops, amusements and clock tower, but a lovely quiet street. In my opinion this hotel is just perfect, and I'd never stay anywhere else in Skegness now I've found this little gem. Highly recommend using this if you are planning a break in Skegness.
Excellent Guest House
Could not find a single fault with this place.
I am very fussy about things but the cleanliness was even beyond my expectations. The hosts were delightful and warm people, and the accommodation was second to none. We will definitely be returning in the future and I wish them every success in their business. Julie & Paul ( The Lovers)
