Closer than you think...
You can see the Ibis hotel from the steps of Euston rail station (so don't be tempted to wander into the streets opposite using the postcode on your mobile device's maps) Unfortunately, this means there's quite a bit of noise from the rail and underground lines.
The hotel is modern and well up to the standard regular Ibis goers will be familiar with. Rooms are a decent size (for London city centre) but stiflingly hot; my partner and I stayed the first week of January, and although unseasonably warm - 7-10° - we had to sleep with the window open and the duvet off most of the night. At 9am everyone with a room on the inner courtyard (the hotel is U-shaped) will be woken by the glass collection from the bin-men. This happened every morning Tuesday-Friday during our stay, but may not be a problem if you're leaving early (and have managed to get more than a few hours sleep!)
On a more positive note, the over-bath shower was excellent, and drainage wasn't a problem as it can be in many of London's more "historic" hotel buildings. Not bad for the money, given the location (if you see this as a positive) but I don't think we'd choose to stay here again.
