About the hotel
The Dyvels Inn is a small country Inn,with open log fires, fresh tasty food and a good selection of local and national ales. Situated within walking distance from Corbridge train station and the Tynedale rugby grounds, the pub lies on the outskirts of the town centre and the nearest tourist attraction, The Roman Wall. The Dyvels Inn in Corbridge lies at the heart of Northumberland.
We are only a walk from Hadrians Wall, a short drive from Newcastle and an easy outing to our amazing coastline which is packed with castles and history. In Newcastle you can visit the Sage Opera house to see one of the UK's top music venues, watch our local first class rugby team the Falcons , see serious and fun art at The Baltic, or just wander along the beautifully redeveloped Quayside. Don't forget to make the most of Newcastle's famous shopping as well. Corbridge is a jewel in the crown of Northumberland. Lying just off the A69, about 18 miles west of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, it grew from the Roman town of Corstopitum , a supply town for the troops on Hadrian's Wall. From the beginning Corstopitum provided many of the building stones used in the construction of many of the village buildings, including the church, Vicar's Pele and nearby castles.

A great base to explore the Tyne Valley
I chose The Dyvels Inn because I'd heard it had just re-opened after a major refurbishment.
I found the staff fantastic, hard working, polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. The food and beer on offer were very good. The cooked breakfast was superb. The Inn it's self is traditional and very easy to find, there is plenty of parking to the rear.
The Dyvels is a short pleasant walk to the town center of Corbridge. I would definitely recommend The Dyvels Inn to anyone.
Can be better so easily
Warm welcome, lovely room and very comfortable bed
Menu very limited and then food only average (dry chicken, chips near burnt on the outside yet barely cooked in the middle, soggy battered fish)
Despite confirmed booking, was asked to pay yes £10 due to 'a mistake on the booking'
No side plates at breakfast and no salt and pepper anywhere
No brandy in stock at the bar.
