About the hotel
Elaine and Shaun would like to welcome you to their family run Bed & Breakfast accommodation in the village of Castleton, set in the upper Esk Valley at the heart of the North York Moors. Our B & B boasts stunning views across the Valley from the residents lounge/Dining room. We have two en-suite bedrooms which can be King-size or unzip to become twin rooms.
We are ideally situated for walking and cycling in the surrounding countryside and moors and an ideal place to stay over night on the regional route 52 between Barnard Castle & Whitby forming part of the coast to coast Walney to Wear & Whitby (W to W) cycle route. We are only a short distance from the coast to coast walk, and are on the Esk Valley walk. A short drive will take you to the sea with the coastal villages of Staithes, Runswick Bay, Robin Hood's Bay and the town of Whitby. A train ride from Castleton to Whitby will take you through the villages in the Esk Valley of Danby, Lealholm, Glaisdale, Egton, and from Grosmont the Steam train runs inland to Pickering.
