Very nice

Very pleasant and nice accomodation.

Basic but does the job and landlord and landlady are very welcoming. Breakfast is good and generally the area seems quite quiet. Do be aware of live entertainment though (as you would expect from a thriving pub)...it's good quality, but if you want an early night you might be disappointed

Bustling pub accommodation - did everything it promised.

I arrived in the middle of the evening at this busy pub, with the musician setting up for the evening, and all dinner tables taken.

A friendly welcome and I was directed to my room, with a promise that they would find me a table, and a request to order straight away. Sure enough, a table was found, dinner was good, both in value and food, the beer was pleasant, and the entertainment fun. I even won a bottle in the raffle. Breakfast too was good, although when I went down to hand in my key everything was locked up, so I left my key in the lock of my room.

Everything is fairly basic, but in good repair. It's a proper pub, and for the price was just what I needed for the night.
