About the hotel
The Staincliffe Hotel is a picturesque pre-Victorian hotel situated on the coast, with superb views of the sea. Guests can also enjoy a drink in the Canoe Bar, surrounded by elegant interiors, with our friendly staff discreetly at your service. A splendid promenade connects the Marina with one of the Victorian's favourite North-East resorts.
Seaton Carew with its miles of broad golden sands and safe sheltered bathing is still the perfect venue for a traditional family day out at the seaside. Enjoy good flat beaches to fly kites and build castles, rock pools to hunt shrimps and amusement arcades that flicker and sing - Seaton Carew is well worth visiting when you stay in Hartlepool.

Not tired but exhausted accommodation not 4 star as advertised
Short staffed when booking in so a long wait One towel and soap for 2 guests Blinds vey difficult to open/close TV control not working No wifi unless you have sky Lumpy pillows No welcome coffee or biscuits Dangerous Large screw pointing into (Wardrobe) Had booked an extra night, wished we hadn't.
Informed reception of the above issues, we got extra towel plus coffee and biscuits
Spoke to the manager, who was getting back to me,m that was over a week ago. The reception we went to was a fiasco, table cloths blowing of it was a wind tunnel and really cold. One person worked off his feet at bar, not good. 2 pleasant waitresses
Confetti on stairs and room 3 days
Definitely not 4 star as advertised
Decor in lounge and dining room good
Although naming it the Darwin and canoe rooms I find distasteful.
I felt the bathroom was quite shabby.
The shower head was not fixed to the wall, meaning we had to hold it to shower, & hair washing was a nightmare!. Also, was not happy with the chips in the shower tray. Room defiinitely needs re-furbishing
