About the hotel
Berry Lane Cottage is nestled in its own grounds of 6 acres of paddocks and woodland just outside the little village of Nanstallon. It is 5 minutes from the Camel Trail, an 18 mile off road cycle path between Wenfordbridge and Padstow and 12 miles from the beaches of north and south Cornwall. We are happy for you to bring your well behaved dog, but not in bedrooms, and you are more than welcome to bring your hens and other small pets.
We have two Shepherds Huts one a single and one a double and both have electricity heaters and sockets with solar. They have comfy beds, a wood stove and tea and coffee facilities . A breakfast basket will be bought to your hut . A shared bathroom for both huts is a short walk away with hot shower and flush loo, or a compost toilet and gas powered hot shower is available for those who want the camping experience. We have extensive grounds and gardens for you to wander in and the geese, ducks and chickens will love to make your acquaintance!

Berry Lane Cottage
Cosy and warm.
Nice cake on arrival. Breakfast splendid.
Odd but still pleasent stay, clean, and nothing missing in the breakfast but still a bit over priced
The venue is very much tucked away, arriving after dark with out phoning i wopuld never have found it there is no sign, the house down a totally dark lane.
For me this was a brief stop over between a late return form holidat and early start for work in Plymouth all i needed was somewhere to clean to sleep have a shower a bite to eat and was gone again. Some see a romantic side to staying in a horse drawn caravan barely larger them a single bed but for a leisure stay it would be very cramped, the bathroom is an outside room in a corner of the garden on the other side of the house. In a rush i booked just looking at the picture of the house and did not realise it was in such a small outside space. I did sleep well and the breakfast delivered in a basket was enough to also give me a packed lunch. No matter how cute this was basic accomodation and would not be to everybodies liking but for a one night stopvover on my own it was OK the picnic sytle breakfast did save it but at £40 it is a overpriced, the owners could invest something back into a decent roadside sign.
First of all we do have a sign on the gate and whilst we are tucked away in the countryside where there are no street lights we are not remote. The guest arrived at nearly 11pm as he had come on a ferry from Scilly. The Shepherds hut he booked says what it is on the website and contains a large single bed and everything you could need for your stay including freshly made cake. It is incredibly popular with those wishing a different sort of stay and if he had wanted a room in the house perhaps reading about the accommodation before booking it would be wise? I would advise him in future to book a room in town in a street where the address is easy to find and where there is an ensuite bathroom.
