Clean beds was the saving grace!
Late booking due to attendance at a local festival.
Room was basic and in clear need of repair and decoration, although clean.
Breakfast was awful, as was the service, dirty table cloths that appeared to have been used in the Indian restaurant the previous night. Clearly have had issues with people turning up and leaving or not paying as persistent in having money up front; given the condition of the B & B this is no surprise. Although in a beautiful village which is worth a further visit.
Old coaching house with lovely front view from room.
Sadly very run down and in need of total refurbishment. I gather the property is only rented so no money is likely to be spent on it. However, we were looking forward to a great Indian meal that evening - totally disappointed. Although obviously popular as a takeaway, the food is just sauce poured on meat/veg and not curried at all. We were told breakfast wouldn't be before 9.00am as it was the weekend. Fine. We were down by 9.25am, and a lady who manages the pub attached, wondered what we were doing there as the cook had gone home and there was nobody else in the building!
