Week in July
Very helpful staff warned about the heat in my room (this was the week AFTER the July heatwave)and had provided a fan; however, room was very stuffy all night, so the choice was to be kept awake by the noise of the fan, or by the traffic when the window was open or by the heat when the window was closed....or by any combination of the three.
The bed was very comfortable. Very limited storage space - I stayed a week and needed at least a drawer for clothing. Desk OK but small when shared with the fan and tea making things. TV small screen by most hotel standards today. Easy chairs incredibly uncomfortable. Breakfast for £5 was what you'd expect, but the quality of juice (watery) bread (so thin) croissants (stale) and coffee (weak) was disappointing when I compare it with a competitor that I stayed in the previous week in the heatwave (Premi** Inn and paid £3.99 for cooked food and much higher quality of everything else). Car park (private just behind hotel) had to be paid for and fee not refunded by hotel. The room key had to be reset every day too, which was a minor thing.....
