Very Quiet, but near the beach.

We were surprised at how quiet the hotel had become - especially for late July.

I remember it many years ago as a place bustling with guests and families enjoying games in a long conservatory area. But it was a pleasant and functional stay and the receptionist doubled as barmaid to serve drinks up until 'last orders' at 11. The twin room had two narrow but comfortable single beds and a very small TV set on the wall. A good shower but no bath. A strange array of electrical sockets and adapters in the room. Cooked breakfast came with ample tea and toast. Only problem was on arrival. No one at reception. Rang bell on desk then had to phone the hotel switchboard. Plenty of parking and Monifieth has shops, pubs, tea rooms, takeaways and a good Italian restaurant.
