Huntercrook Lodge is situated in the heart of Hadrian's Wall, on the edge of the national park. We are located, north of the village Bardon mill, in Henshaw, just off the A69, only one mile from the Roman fort of Vindolanda and near all major heritage attractions including Housesteads and Birdsoswald. Ideally situated for walking the Hadrians Wall national trail, or riding Hadrian's cycleway.

Vindolanda, the historical Roman settlement is walking distance from Hunter Crook. See more about it here. Just past Vindolanda you can find Hadrian's Wall, the famous ancient wall. By car, Hunter Crook can serve as an excellent base for many local market towns and roman sites, including Hexham, Corbridge, Carlisle, Kielder forest & lake, and many more:
