The River Eachaig, a silver salmon stream winding its way from Loch Eck to the Holy Loch, passes nearby. It is home to all kinds of birds and wildlife. Red and Roe Deer are frequently sighted on the river bank. Otter and Pine Marten have been seen. So too the majestic Heron, Wild Ducks and Geese, Dipper and Wagtail and Greater Spotted Woodpecker. Adjacent is an acre of private woodland where rhododendron, wild garlic and bluebell are common. Sit on the decking and enjoy the mountain view across Strath Eachaig, and at night observe the multitude of stars in the inky-black sky.
Nearby, explore the magical Pucks Glen and elevated forest views, or visit the Giant Redwoods in the Benmore Botanical Gardens. The quiet seaside town of Dunoon is just 10 minutes by car with bars, restaurants, swimming pool and cinema. Further afield, visit Inverary Castle, Kilchurn Castle, Mount Stuart or the original Loch Fyne Restaurant. Various country inns offer good food and loch views.
