Functional but suprisingly good!
The location is ideal for the airport.
There is a bus that takes 30 minutes into town nearby. The room although small has everything you need, the bed is comfortable and it was warm and cozy even without the air con/heating on. The only minor issue I had was the lack of privacy with the toilet/wet room. The frosted glass door is fine, but the handle is just a hole in the door which is at the perfect eye level for you to sit on the loo and look and chat to whoever is on the bed, so you better not be a shy or nervous type or you will be 'holding it in' for a while.
Overall, when every other hotel is sold out and the only options are in excess of £200 a night, I found this hotel to be good value for money and I would certainly consider staying there again.
LateRooms had this on the royal mile, it was 8 miles away, but with free parking, hotel to car park transfer and a bus that runs from the airport into Edinburgh at only £7.50 return this was the best £20 I spent this year, would go again.
