A pub with real character
Stayed for b&b just one night.
Very old and interesting pub. Spacious and comfortable bedrooms and en suite with good shower over bath. Proprietors had taken over only two months before. Pleasant couple, working hard to get pub up and running. Did not have evening meal but breakfast was of the "continental" DIY variety and a bit limited. Would have been nice to have one of the several stoves lit in the bar area as it was a bit cold but no doubt proprietors will develop a feel for these welcoming touches with experience
It was a lovely room pity there was no mirror in the bedroom only in the bathroom and it would have benefited to have a chair too, it would have been nice to have had soap and shower gel otherwise was a very pleasant night stop.
