Excellent bed & breakfast establishment

A small family run B & B that is being developed.

Staff were friendly and very helpful, the room was quiet, comfortable and well equipped. Food is basic but excellent value for money

All in all, excellent value for money and to be recommended for business travelers who needing comfortable and basic accommodation at a very competitive price.

Lovely and friendly-great value and really comfortable.

I booked here initially because it was listed as the closest accommodation to an event I was going to.

I was a little dubious as their website mentioned ongoing building work but I needn't have worried-although it was apparent that there is some serious remodelling going on in the main pub (currently closed), the separate accommodation wing was warm, clean , and quiet, with no sign of the work encroaching onto the guest areas.

The owners and staff were lovely and couldn't do enough to help, and the room was a nice size with a full en suite bathroom and a lovely comfy chair to sit and relax in. I was offered a different room as the original one apparently is due for redecoration, but it was clean and tidy, and I had no issues with remaining in there-I've paid more to stay in much less attractive rooms. I can only vouch for food as far as breakfast goes, though I was told if I wanted evening meals just to let them know so that they could get staff in. The dining room is upstairs overlooking what will be a lovely garden once the work is finished, and is small and pleasant. The food was lovely, with a number of tasty options from cereal to bacon sandwiches, to a full sized breakfast complete with Lincolnshire sausage and everything else you'd expect. The service was good and the staff once again helpful and pleasant.

Definitely a place to base yourself for visiting the surrounding area, fellow visitors with children also found the whole experience much less stressful than expected.
